From WWA to Antarctica

Following extensive tests, demonstration and operator training at WWA, the UAVE unmanned platform, Prion 3, is now in service on the other side of the world assisting the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) at their science research station at Rothera on the Antarctic continent.

Prion 3

The long range flight endurance characteristic of the Prion is known to have been key to the decision process of BAS in selecting Prion 3.

The supply contract included theory and UAS operations training to be conducted from the airport into the adjacent dedicated segregated airspace.

UAVE plan to continue the use of WWA for its future demonstration and training needs.
